Sgu mental health wellness program: sgu veterans and families of usa organization was able to educate and raise awareness about ptsd that impacts the veterans and their families. Sgu was able to conduct 8 group sessions with veterans, widows, and their descendants, in which they shared the impact and trauma from the secret war. Also, sgu held two ptsd community education sessions where 21 people attended; and with the individual therapy session, 78 patients have utilized this session to help them with their mental health. This program is still ongoing.
Gvp history book, entitled hmong & lao veterans: who were the united states special guerrilla units during the secret war in laos, 1961-1975 was completed in 2023 with 2,000 copies printed. The books were distributed to the donors who contributed financially to the printing of the book, including the biographies of veterans from this war. Also, some copies were donated to schools as educational resources for the students to learn more about the soldiers stories and history.
