Programs
2 programs
Community connectors: sor employs 2 ft and 3 pt staff to address community food insecurity. Together they coordinate 6 neighborhood gardens, supporting over 120 families producing vegetables for home consumption. The connectors also work with local partners (e.g. Foodshelves) to do food distributions.
Natural lands and wildlife counts: sor monitors wildlife through a grant and citizen science effort that engages students and volunteers at the central farm. Wildlife habitat is restored through management of invasive plants and insects and protected through conservation easements.
