Organized to develop, foster, promote, & protect programs for the general welfare including economic, social, & political well being of farm people.

Agriculture leadership activities the shelby county farm bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural, civic, & community organizations. Leaders attend district, state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications, and agricultural activities.
Youth agriculture education scfb sponsors a jr heifer show for 4-h and ffa students at the delta fair held at teh agricenter international. Students train and show their heifers for prizes and schlorship money. Students also received agriculture experience credits which helps them compete for other awards & schlorships. Scfb cosponsored a student on a trip to view ag in europe with national ffa. The scfb made donations to the tn foundation for ag in the classroom to promote agriculture literacy in tn and sponsored sending a student to the national leadership forum at harding university.
