FUNDING WILL ENSURE THAT FAMILIES IN CRISIS HAVE A RESOURCE TO TURN TO TO HELP THEM NAVIGATE THEIR CRISIS AND REACH SELF-SUFFICIENCY. WHILE SHELBY COUNTY IS KNOWN AS ONE OF THE MOST AFFLUENT COUNTIES IN THE STATE OF ALABAMA, APPROXIMATELY 20,000 PEOPLE LIVE AT OR BELOW THE FEDERAL POVERTY LINE (CENSUS.GOV) PUTTING THEM AT RISK WHEN A CRISIS ARISES IN THEIR LIFE.
