SHERPA Institute educates and engages organizations of all types and sizes in social responsibility SR as defined by ISO 26000 the International Standard for Social Responsibility. The goal of engaging in SR performance improvement is sustainable development. The Institute further advances this by educating students and businesses about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. SR and sustainability acumen opens doors to gratifying careers and business success. As explained in ISO 26000 Organizations around the world and their stakeholders are becoming increasingly aware of the need for and benefits of socially responsible behavior. The objective of social responsibility is to contribute to sustainable development. An organizations performance in relation to the society in which it operates has become a critical part of measuring its overall performance and its ability to continue operating effectively.
