Shuckin Good Cause Fund

Dive into reading program and other community initiatives:a summer literacy program that aims to stop the "summer slide" learning loss for elementary students from title 1 schools in manatee county. We host 1st and 2nd grade students from 17 elementray schools at 7 restaurant locations. Students work with volunteer mentors on reading, writing and literacy comprehension. They also enjoy a meal together and build a bond through one on one interaction that develops social skills. For calendar year 2024, shuckin good cause fund utilized school supplies and books donated by early learning coalition of manatee county and school supplies the organizaion had from previous years.
