Mission
Sight for all united has transformed vision care access with one powerful mission: to help every person reach their vision potential and lift the barriers that can limit access to care. What began with providing critical eye surgeries and medications has blossomed into an award-winning organization touching thousands of lives across all ages. Each year, thousands of students struggle with vision problems, yet two- thirds never see an eye doctor or receive the glasses they desperately need. This reality inspired us to expand our reach, culminating in the valley's first in-school mobile vision van - bringing care directly to children who need it most. Guided by our exceptional team of staff, board members, eye care professionals, and volunteers, we channel our passion into three vital areas: surgery and medical assistance, comprehensive school programs, and compassionate low vision support - because we believe clear vision is not a privilege, but a right for all.
Programs
2 programs
Student vision program - sight for all united provides services for eye exams in area grade schools. Working collaboratively with local businesses and agencies, we coordinate follow up exams and corrective lenses for children in need. Students who were prescribed glasses showed an increased attendance rate, a decreased discipline referral rate and an increase in growth on benchmark assessments. Program provides services to schools in mahoning, trumbull and coumbiana county. Through our programs, 12,000 children were screened resulting in 2,354 exams for which 1,913 children received glasses. 184 children were referred for additional screening and medical care.
Community education and support - sight for all united participates community wide to bring education and supportive services to our service area.
