Mission

Simiode is a scientific education association. The purpose of simiode is to foster the teaching of differential equatinos, an undergraduate mathematics course, in a manner that uses modeling and technology throughout the learning process. Simiode offers a web-based community for teachers and learners at www.simiode.org in support of that purpose. The community offers resrouces, reviews, teaching materials, collaborative spaces for creating teaching materials, and a professinoal, peer review system for publication of teaching materials. In addition to the web community, simiode conducts minicourses at national and regional mathematics organization meetings, runs workships for teachers to enable them to learn about the modeling-first approach for teaching differential equations, and leads paper sessions at mathematical society meetings.
