Simpson County Historical & Genealogical Society

The Simpson County Historical & Genealogical Society (SCHGS) consists of a diverse group of individuals sharing a love for the history and genealogy of SImpson County, MS. We are organized as a non-profit corporation with the MS Secretary of State. SCHGS seeks, collects, preserves and disseminates facts and information regarding historical and genealogical matters; promotes interest in historical and genealogical research; works to ensure accuracy, hight standards of scholarship, and high standards in practice; and maintains the historical museum for county artifacts.
