Helping businesses get back in business faster after a disaster by collecting, processing, and disseminating business status in order to assure the needs of business are important disaster recovery priorities for federal and state governments. During disasters as many as 125,000 businesses have been monitored with the status results being published free of charge on the public SABER Map website and provided to the more than 30 states who have registered to get the business status information and publish it on their own websites for government and public use. In addition, more than a dozen federal agencies and several nonprofit or professional associations have registered to receive the status data to use in their own decision-making and share with their members. The US Chamber of Commerce further publishes the business status where it is available to its more than 3 million members.
