Safe spaces at sisters places acts as a community drop in center to provide harm reduction resources in addition to informal mental health support. The space provides an area for members of the community as well as program participants to feel safe and supported to discuss their needs and concerns while receiving resource connections from staff. Routinely safe spaces brings external partners and providers into the space to meet with individuals and work with them one on one. Safe spaces has had dollar bank to provide information on their first time homebuyers program, as well as hillman cancer, the financial empowerment center, and other services in the greater pittsburgh area to meet specific needs outside of what sisters place can offer.
