The sale of training materials is an activity that supports the training program for slingerland literacy institute. Materials include textbooks, classroom teacher materials, and sutdent materials, books, and teacher support materials for working with students. Over 500 people were benefited.

Professional development for slingerland literacy institute training staff. Each year the organization provides multiple trianing weekends for all instructors and volunteers who work with the organization. The weekends include work with the faculty senate concerning the professional materials and meetings for the trainers to provide information on new courses, provide information on the latest research in the field, and meet specific training requirements and certification guidelines. Over 40 people were benefited.
