Mission
S.M.A.R.T primary exempt purpose is to be the voice for the hopeless by providing search, rescue & rehab for lost, abused and abandoned dogs. We provide care, hope and healing until they arereunited with their families or adopted by a loving family.

Animal Rescue - Stray animals and owner surrenders are rescued in response to community calls and reports.Before animals are placed in foster homes in wait to be adopted, they undergo a thorough veterinary evaluation to address any medical needs and to be spayed or neutered. Treatment is provided for any health issues, including heartworm, and all necessary vaccinations are administered.
Adoption - Our animals are released to suitable adoptive families only after all necessary applications are processed, the home is inspected and contracts are signed. Our fee for adoptions is $350.
Search Team Response - We help families search for lost pets by deploying humane traps, distributing flyers in surrounding neighorboods, and organizing volunteers to search wooded areas and to monitor traps when they are set.
