Mission
The SOAR Initiative exists to provide people who use drugs throughout Ohio with free resources, information, and support. We focus on building technology-based solutions to the opiod overdose crisis, particularly for rural areas and those without existing harm reduction infrastructure.

SOAR's text alert system sends overdose surge and deadly batch alrest to people who use drugs, paramedics, and loved ones. The system receives overdose data from health departments and coroners' offices throughout Ohio, as well an anonymous crowdsourced reports of bad batches to send to the public.
