The kansas teen health project seeks to work with local youth serving organizations to expand the reach of the app program. Trained teachers and facilitators are providing health relationship eduaction to 300 youth (ages 12-19) from kansas communities.
Sil has been awarded a 24-month project grant funded by the family and youth services bureau (fysb) to fund adolescent pregnancy prevention programming in rural kansas high schools. Using the newly updated love notes 4.0 sexual risk avoidance (ln sra) curriculum, sil provides training opportunities to family and consumer science teachers to implement the curriculum in their classrooms. This project helps expand and evidence- based model of implementation utilizing teacher as faciliatotrs of healthy relationship curriculum. This grant is funded under the title v competitive abstience education program.
