Mission

The mission of the Social Justice Film Institute is to encourage the appreciation of visual storytelling as a tool to social justice issues. Our primary program is the Social Justice Film Festival, a premier film festival in the U.S. introducing, featuring, producing, and promoting social justice issues to ever-growing local, national, and international audiences. During the last few years, the Institute has expanded its programming, offering filmmaker workshops, activist panel discussions, and community presentations. Through collaborations, SJFI also produces podcasts and radio shows. Lastly, the Social Justice Film Institute has engaged in various advocacy efforts by shedding light on social justice efforts worldwide and the importance of supporting our diverse and inclusive communities.
