Mission

At Social Promise, we have chosen to help the vulnerable people of northern Uganda because we met them, they asked for our help, and we knew we could respond. Social Promise supports critical health and educational resources serving impoverished Ugandan communities. By promoting awareness, we seek to empower other people and institutions to support these vital humanitarian efforts. Conveying the achievement and promise inherent in these efforts, we hope to inspire a community dedicated to a spirit of altruism.

Partnership with St. Jude Children's Home (Education and Care) In 2024, Social Promise funded education for 41 children from St. Jude Children's Home, with most attending secondary or technical schools and several in university. We also covered salaries for 13 caregivers who staff the family-style homes, ensuring stable, nurturing care. In addition, we provided daily school lunch for an average of 520 students and teachers at St. Jude's primary school, and we supported a project to expand opportunities for children with disabilities, strengthening St. Jude's commitment to holistic care for every child.

U.S. Partnerships in Education and Engagement In 2024, Social Promise engaged U.S. K-12 students in projects on global health with a focus on Uganda. High school girls researched sickle cell disease, raised funds, and educated peers before visiting Uganda, where they connected with children at St. Jude and toured Lacor Hospital. After returning, they continued awareness projects in their schools and communities. This work builds knowledge and leadership among U.S. students while reinforcing Social Promise's global mission.
