The society for humanistic judaism mobilizes people to celebrate jewish identity and culture consistent with a humanistic philosophy of life independent of a supernatural authority. As the central body for the humanistic jewish movement in north america, the society assists in organizing and supporting congregations and in providing a worldwide voice for its members.

Programs

National and regional conferences, annual conclaves, and semi-annual meetings provide for the building of community and connections between congregations, energize members to become leaders in their congregations, create awareness of and interest in membership in humanistic judaism congregations, offer leadership training and adult and youth education, allow for the development of national educational and service programs for congregations.

Publications of journals, newsletters, and leadership publications, periodicals, community newsletter inserts, monthly e-newsletter, books, curricula materials, study guides and other publications and resources, and creation of videos, all of which serve as resources and educational materials for the support of congregations and their organizational development and the creation of sunday school and adult education programs and the provision of sabbath, holiday and life cycle services and other programs related to humanistic judaism.
