Annual meeting-annual meeting allows surgeons in the field of academics to share with their peers, scientific data and techniques they have researched and developed. It also allows institutions and commercial companies the opportunity to share their latest programs and products with academic surgeons. Total attendees at 2024 meeting was approximately 357.

Donations given to medical schools, universities, and individuals in the field of medical academics for the benefit of minority students attending and participating in medical educational programs. Awardees are chosen by a committee which is assembled by the board of directors.
