The shpe scholarship program provides scholarship awards to qualified undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in qualified academic institutions and studying in the fields of science, technology, engineering and/or math. Shpe's interim ceo, miguel alemany, provided an in kind donation of his salary to support helen cuesta scholarships and establish the helen cuesta endowed scholarship fund.

Grants received by shpe during fy24 supported twenty-three unique programs at a national scale, five of which were newly developed and launched. These grants supported more than 150 events and impacted nearly 20,000 shpe members and community members.
