Conferences work: this program helps support individuals and families with accompaniment or financial need. The society helps with clothing and other basic needs of anyone in impoverished circumstances. In addition, the society helps with the prevention of evictions, hunger, and utility shut off. This program involves personal visits to the person in need. Most of the resources are subsidized by the conferences fundraising efforts. The outreach volunteer neighborhood volunteer group provided assistance in cash valued at $2.1 million and in-kind of $580,000 - volunteers logged 16,000 home visits and helped over 35,000 individuals.

Food and clothing bank: the foodbank responded to more than 39,000 food and clothing assistance requests. It also provides health screenings and a community connectors program to other agencies and to case management services. The foodbank distributed food valued at more than $1,000,000 in the year (476,653 lbs of food).

Case management: this program is an enhancement to the conferences work, it takes qualified individuals and helps them become self-sufficient through case management services. In the process, individuals may be assisted with basic living expenses (rent, utilities, food) and with training or education. Economic help is disbursed through an extended period of time. The program also includes working in communities adjacent to our store locations, partnering with other area nonprofits, local governing bodies, and schools to identify pressing needs within the community.

Helpline: the svdp helpline responds to approx. 40,000 requests every year resulting in more than 16,000 home visits to individuals and families in dire need across king county. Our response helps to prevent evictions while also assisting callers with referral sources to the broader community.

Centro rendu: centro rendu was created as a response to unique needs, challenges and opportunities within the latino immigrant community. It provides culturally and linguistically appropriate services for the whole family, such as: adult basic education, high school completion programs, esl, financial and computer literacy courses, youth intervention and mentorship, early learning supports, family engagement and leadership development, basic needs, advocacy and access to legal services. It further responds to the family with culturally responsive case management services.
