Society Of Women Engineers

Educational - inform public of qualifications, abilities, and achievements of women engineers to improve utilization of engineering talent for economic and social benefit of humanity, and to encourage young women to enter the engineering professions and to guide them in their education programs. Awarded $21000 scholarships (grants) to 11 young women pursuing degrees in engineering or computer science. Delivered week-long summer program for GetSET (Get Science, Engr, Tech) program to about 90 high school girls yearly, as well as targeted programs throughout school year. Provided membership professional development sessions throughout year.
