Mission
Solid foundation association emphasizes personal responsibility and action as parallel roads to freedom. We attempt to disrupt the destructive cycle of poverty through education, spiritual and personal development. Through our committed staff, trusted volunteers, mentor core group, community partners, prayer warriors, and dedicated tutors - we form a weapon against ignorance, poor self esteem, and poor school performance to reposition our students for success and give them a hope for the future.
Programs
1 program
Solid foundation serves approximately 200 students weekly in its main location, diversity center, and four satellite community centers, experiencing about 65% success rate. Through the 18-19 school year, solid foundation in collaboration with nisd and with sfasu stems program targeted under-achieving students who demonstrated a high potential for competing in the science and math fields in grades 6-12 with gpa's of 2.5 or less. This was accomplished through highly promoted parent/teacher/counselor collaboration agreements encouraging students that fall into this category to attend the solid foundation after school program.
