The colorado rocky mountain chapter for swana hosted an outstanding three- day manager of landfill operations (molo) course in grand junction, co, on feburary 6-8. The course provided attendees with crucial foundational, strategic, technical, and managerial skills necessary for solid waste professionals through in-person training and a molo course manual. Participants had the opportunity to tour the mesa county solid waste facilities, where the staff did an excellent job showing the attendees the important sites.

The colorado swana truck road-e-o is a dynamic event that brings together solid waste professionals from around the state for an opportunity to show off their excellent skills behind the wheel and under the hood. Contestants representing public and private waste collection operations will be competing for top driving honors. Truck drivers are required to maneuver competition vehicles through a preset course. All categories are judged on accuracy and time.
