Playgrounds/parks: solidarity engineering finished construction on, and continues to operate and maintain, the playground at one of the refugee shelters. This playground includes underground drainage, a soft sand foundation, two play structures (including monkey bars, climbing walls, fireman pole, etc), murals, a large overhead roof, concrete walls, and a solar array and charging station. We have also started the planning and design of another park and playground at a different refugee shelter.
Hygiene product distribution: solidarity inc buys basic hygiene items to distribute to the asylum seekers living at the camps and shelters. We also collect donations of these items from companies, church groups, and individuals. These items can be categorized into personal hygiene products or community cleaning supplies. The personal hygiene products include soap, menstrual pads, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes and toothpaste, diapers, etc. Sometimes we put these items into kits, and distribute them as complete hygiene kits instead of individual items. And the community cleaning supplies include items like bleach, brooms, mops, detergent, etc that are used by the community to clean and maintain their wash facilities. We also distribute diapers for babies.
