South Bronx United uses soccer as a tool for social change. South Bronx United aims to help youth build character, teamwork, and leadership so that they can succeed in high school, college, careers, their community and beyond. South Bronx United strives to promote educational achievement, health and wellness, and character development through activities on and off the soccer field and to unite a diverse group of individuals and an incredibly diverse community toward common positive goals

Programs

2 programs

The Recreational Program serves more than 800 boys and girls between the ages of 4-16. The recreational league is open to all children regardless of ability. Children play a Fall and a Spring season on Saturdays at Macombs Dam field (1 E 161st Street) and at Mullaly Park (165th Street and Jerome Avenue). The program promotes health and wellness through good nutrition and active lifestyles to fight childhood obesity. Children stay active in a safe environment.

Cafe Clubhouse - operates the Clubhouse Caf, a social-enterprise coffee shop staff be Caf Fellows and graduates of the SBU Workforce Development Program.
