Multilingual outreach team: the outreach team goes into the community and educates them in language on medicaid expansion and voter registration. In 2024, we were able to reach 12,500 individual doors in key neighborhoods with material in english and spanish. We also mailed 25,000 sample voting ballots in spanish and english and had links to our website for amharic, arabic, and nepali.

Education and training: we provide community trainings on how to go from being a bystander in an incident to becoming an upstander. In 2024, we highlighted 3 community elders who have navigated a lifetime of racism and discrimination and focused on their resiliency through a short documentary. We traveled with our elders to hold community forums throughout south dakota, reaching over 500 attendees. At the end of the year, we brought together 100 community members to understand new immigration laws and policies and their impact in south dakota.

Rapid response: in 2024, we provided accurate information about immigrants in our community, educated on immigration policies and laws and how changes are impacting our communities.
