Networking-sfma holds a number of popular networking events which include: -plant tours -socials -golf tournament -recognition of excellence awards banquet -annual meetingworkforce development-finding a qualified workforce is always a challenge for manufacturers here in south florida. Sfma helps members by providing training, grant assistance, job fairs, networking and much more.grant assistance-the sfma assists members in procuring grant dollars to offset training costs. In previous years, it helped members obtain more than $500,000 in grant dollars.floridamakes-as part of the membership, the sfma's manufacturing members receive some floridamakes business advisory services for free or at specially reduced member rates. Floridamakes' sole mission is to strengthen and advance florida's economy by improving the competiveness, productivity, and technological performance of its manufacturing sector. The sfma supports their mission by partnering to provide services and solutions to our manufacturers focused on three principle value streams: technology adoption, talent development, and business growth. Job fairs -the sfma from time-to-time partners with local workforce development boards to host countywide job fairs for members for recruiting. The sfma occasionally will host a job fair at a local college in its region.
