South Side Farms

To provide and equip an underserved and underprivileged population, living in a federal food desert, with many of the necessary elements that make up the social determinants of healt. (food, education, housing, childcare, security, healthcare, outdoor space). An urban farm will provide the opportunity for access to healthy food in an area currently with no access. This will also provide educational opprtunities to teach local residents how to grow, harvest and prepare healthy meals, in order to maintain a healthier lifestyle.
