The school is a community driven elementary school that nurtures academic excellence, social development, and civic responsibility in every individual. The school seeks to build a strong foundation for learning and living by creating in its students a thirst for knowledge and an enthusiasm for learning.

Sense participated in the cep component of the nslp. All students were eligible to receive a free school lunch and free breakfast. This improves nutrition to students at risk. Potential for attendance rate and test score improvement.
