Southeastern District Of The Lutheran Church

The SED Deacon Training Initiative was put together by a group of individuals representing the Southeastern District Deacon Training Committee. This was done in response to the need to train up and develop missional leaders to move the SED iNeighborhood initiative forward, and now, more than ever, is a strategy to help navigate the changing environment brought on by the Covid-19 health crisis. By providing a training curriculum that not only incorporates knowledge of Lutheran theology and Gospel fluency, we are also including coaching for spiritual formation and discipleship so that the Mission of God may be at the forefront in equipping these new ministry leaders. We are asking MALIM to pprovide a grant that will pay for the training in the coaching course to be provided to the deacon students as well as the training to administer an important assessment tool to be utilized.
