Programs
2 programs
Camp and tours. Approximately 43 children attend music camp and tours from the concert chorus level. Camp is one weekend at the beginning of the year and includes 13 hours of rehearsals and various social events. Tours occur every other year. They are scheduled during the fiscal year to various locations. The purpose and objective of camp is to familiarize new and existing members, as well as the director, with the program and each other, and create a bonding of the chorus. The purpose and objective of the tours is to provide world class performance opportunities to the chorus to showcase the talents they have developed, increase exposure of the program and to enhance the children's lives by experiencing different cultures and localities.
Performances and rehearsals. Performances and rehearsals are held throughout the year. Rehearsals are held on a weekly basis. 21 large public performances and approximately 15 smaller group performances are held each year. Total student enrollment in the 6 chorus levels for the current fiscal year was 224. The purpose and objective of performances and rehearsals is to develop the skills required to perform at a world class level and to showcase the children's achievements.
