To help communities increase their capacity to ensure a quality education for the success of every child through the implementation of siap's pk-16 model for education--the four components of which are site/community development, professional development for educators, youth leadership development, and institutes of higher learning partnerships.

New orleans la project-siap provided professional development for math educators in two schools (benjamin franklin elementary mathematics and science school and the new orleans charter science and mathematics high school). A summer 2024 institute was held in june. Classroom visitations and saturday workshops were conducted in fall 2024. School leadership assistance was also provided throughout the year for the administrators of the two schools. Design team meetings were held approximately every two weeks, bringing together representatives from siap, the schools, and dillard and xavier universities. Funded by the w.k. Kellogg foundation.petersburg, va-siap worked with the principal investigator (virginia state university) for vsu's current nsf grant that is funding work across multiple sites. Vsu is involved in research with five universities (dillard, xavier, jsu, vuu, and vsu). The funds siap received from vsu are designated and will continue to be designated for use in the jackson ms project for the implementation of the siap pk-16 model.
