To foster national and international competition in the game of golf, and to assist the united states golf association and other recognized golf associations in the conduct of sectional, regional, national, and international competitions.

To establish a uniform system of handicapping, a golf course rating service, and a handicap list for all playing members of member clubs of this corporation.
