Southern tier aids program, inc. Is a legacy provider of hiv care management and prevention services. This expertise has been leveraged to provide care management for a range of chronic illnesses, disease prevention programming, housing, harm reduction, transportation and reentry services.

Prevention and education services - provides hiv and hepatitis c prevention interventions using researched and proven best practices tailored to specific populations, i.e. Men who have sex with men, women of color, injection drug users, active substance abusers, and incarcerated individuals. The syringe exchange programs provide harm reduction training/education and facilitate entry into substance use treatment for people who wish to cease or decrease their drug use. The lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth center has as its focus raising community awareness about the developmental needs of lgbt youth and providing health education and social support specific to lgbt youth. 3,141 participants.

Volunteer services - volunteers assist and extend the reach of the agency in a variety of critical areas, including; community harm reduction, prevention education, client services, fundraising, office & administrative support, and governance. We are particularly proud of the fact that many of our services are peer delivered and that many clients of the agency volunteer their time with stap. Approximately 149 volunteers.
