Mission

The Southside SPCA is a donor-supported organization that provides shelter, medical treatment, spay/neuter and adoption services to over 36,000 puppies, kittens, cats and dogs since 1975. The organization is a no-kill shelter operating almost entirely with volunteers and serves twelve largely rural, economically depressed counties.

Programs

1 program

Southside SPCA operates a thrift store, called Tail Waggers, which is devoted to supporting the organization through the sale of goods donated by volunteers and supporters. In addition to supporting the shelter, Tail Waggers helps those in the community purchase items they could otherwise not afford and presents the opportunity to educate the public about the organization's shelter and its missions.
