To advance the health, safety, social, education, & economic interest and needs of women and girls in new mexico and throughout the southwestern united states through research, education, training, advocacy & litigation.

Health care reform and reproductive rights - includes work to increase women's access to comprehensive health care coverage and quality health care and to end unintended pregnancies and promote public health in the state of new mexico by ensuring effective implementation of federal health care reform, increasing patients' ability to control their own health care decisions, and by increasing access to family planning information services, including contraceptives, through community education, coalition work and administrative advocacy within state and local public health and educational entities.
