OUTREACH (IMMEDIATE AID)We are a boots on the ground organization that works alongside our clients and partners to provide life-saving supplies, compassion and support to our unhoused neighbors. STLC is based in a community that has an immense amount of high quality surplus that simply needs to be collected and redistributed to the people and communities that need it the most. We collect and organize these high quality essential supplies from businesses, organizations and individuals. We have created seasonal outreach and collection events in partnership with Teton County Library called Love Your Neighbor. These events provide the community with a central location to drop off the specific supply donations we are accepting and also an opportunity for people in need to "shop" at our free store for the things they need. It also allows the givers and the receivers to get to know one another and learn more about the services we offer and how to participate. PARTNERSHIPS & COLLABORATIONSWe develop partnerships with like minded organizations and coordinate with the communities we serve to fill the gaps in accessing vital supplies and services. This allows us to help unhoused, displaced and housing insecure individuals in the most informed and impactful way. See the list of partnerships in our Impact Report.CLIENT SERVICESWe provide funding for the specific needs of an individual client or family from emergency shelter, medical care, transportation and specific supplies or food.STLC CARE KITSThroughout the year we purchase, assemble and distribute 4 types of care kits for the individuals we serve (kids kits, health and hygiene kits, shower kits and care packs). These are assembled at every one of our advocacy and fundraising events and serve as an instructive tool to get people involved in lending a hand and learning about our clients needs. They are also available for our volunteers to take home and assemble as a family activity. The majority of our kits are made by kids, families and youth, community or faith based groups. These kits are distributed at the Teton County Library and the Parks and Recreation Department as well as to our local and national partners and our own outreach events. Supplies distributed and people served:Due to the nature of their difficult circumstances it is challenging to get an exact number of people served. It is not always easy for us to locate and reach all the people we need to or for them to get to us. We therefore rely on trusted clients to get additional supplies out to those we can't immediately reach. We measure our impact by the number of essential supplies distributed and their fair market value.From December of 2014 to the end of 2023 Spread the Love Commission served well over 25,000 people with $2,888,000 in essential supplies, services and advocacy in over 40 cities and communities across the United States. In 2024, we served 3,211 people, distributing $150,026 in essential support, including clothing, health and hygiene items, and survival gear.

45% of the individuals facing homelessness in the U.S. are women of color. We have teamed up with our partner SkiDivas to support their BIWOC Ski Camp. This program provides the opportunity for Black, Indigenous, and women of color to attend the Ski Divas BIWOC Ski Camp in the Tetons of Wyoming. This is an effort to bring more opportunity, diversity, and inclusivity to winter outdoor recreation spaces, per Ski Divas webpage.
