2. Completely renovating our old school house has been a goal for 25 years. In 2024 we were finally able to raise enough money from donations, fundraisers, rent, and grants to hire an architect to design SCORED! (Spring Creek Office for Rural Economic Development!). The space will have 5 offices for rent, a business center, classroom/board room, and a Value Added Kitchen to support local food businesses.
03. One of our programs is to provide our community with a place to go, almost like a Main St/town square. We are almost an hour to a grocery store, have no government facilities close by, and the community center is really the vital place for people to come and share. The volunteer efforts we make to bring people to the campus are exercise classes, fundraisers like car shows and yard sales. We also cherish the history of our closed school and have a school reunion every summer that is hosted by the community center with no costs to the reunion attendees. In addition, we often offer AARP classes, wildlife education, fire and medical classes. To support our children we have game night, wheeled night, Kith & Kin, and 4-H. We are proud of our community activities.
