At St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, our OR services inpatients and outpatients from throughout central and southern Illinois and the surrounding communities. Surgeons from a variety of physician groups perform procedures at our facility, from a multitude of specialties including Plastics, General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Gynecological, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Pain Intervention Management Services. The operating room is staffed Monday - Friday with scheduled cases running from 0730-1730 with the availability for urgent/emergent add-on procedures through-out the day and after hours with a call team. St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital Emergency Department is a comprehensive treatment center. It is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by specially trained physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and technicians all of whom provide quality patient care for a wide range of concerns. We have access to a wide range of specialists either in-house or through advanced telemedicine to help diagnose and provide treatment for those requiring a higher level of care. With leading edge technology at our fingertips, we can process x-rays, CT scans and other diagnostic tests accurately and quickly, allowing faster diagnosis and treatment in a wide range of other areas, including: Stroke, Heart attack, Shortness of breath, Motor vehicle and other accidents, Broken bones, Abdominal pain, Lacerations, Mental health issues. During FY2024, the emergency department seen 23,980 patients of those 16% were admitted or placed in observation and 6% were transferred to a higher level of care.

St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital other specialized services includes wound care, women's wellness, obstetrics, pediatrics, interventional radiology, outpatient IV therapy, medical/surgical care, and an intensive care unit. St. Anthony's is an Advanced Center for Orthopedic Excellence through the Joint Commission, recognizing the superb patient care for our total hip and total knee patients.
