Mission
Serve the needs of poor individuals & families by providing food, clothing, medical & dental care, educational programs, job training & general assistance to the needy people in san joaquin county.
Programs

Sheltering - the agency took on sheltering in september of 2023. They provide low barrier emergency sheltering to men, women and families. In addition to the low barrier lodges, they offer a care unit for those individuals in need of recuperative care. In 2024, they provided 40,117 safe nights of sleep to men, and 15,744 safe nights of sleep to women and children.
Resource center - the social services program provides case management services to clients of the agency. Services include assistance with completing applications for various benefit programs, assistance locating housing, immigration issues, assistance translating documents and general assistance with navigating other agencies both private and governmental. This program partners with the court system and other partners in providing our community's only homeless court. This court provides homeless clients with the opportunity to pay fines through completing community service volunteer hours. The program also hosts aa, na and victims of domestic violence support groups. In 2024, we assisted more than 600 unduplicated clients with more than 6,000 visits to our social services department. In addition, the outreach team contacted more than 2,500 unduplicated homeless individuals located in encampments in the community.
Kara brewer family clothing and hygiene center - this facility provides access to showers, hygiene products and clean season appropriate clothing to men, women, and children. More than 5,059 unduplicated individuals were served in 2024. For men, st mary's provided 27,841 showers, 28,979 pieces of clothing, and 18,891 pairs of shoes. For women and children, st mary's provided 16,112 showers, 20,868 pieces of clothing, and 993 pairs of shoes. Additional services provided to the women and children were diapers, formula, clothing, shoes and haircuts.
St. Raphael's dental clinic - clients receive dental care for their ailments. All services are provided by dentists and hygienists who volunteer their time. More than 774 unduplicated patients received care in the dental clinic in 2024.
