Holiday share program. Two components:first,the society distributes holiday meals to 200 needy families and 100 seniors at thanksgiving and christmas.the cost of food and gift cards for these meals was $38,899 in the fiscal year.secondly, the society distributes toys and clothing to approximately 1,000 children who are members of these families. These items represent in-kind gifts from parishoners of st. Marys church who select a childs name with gift suggestions from the angel tree, then purchase and return the gifts to the church. Society volunteers coordinate the distribution of these gifts to families shortly before christmas.
