Programs

Treatment & training: with a focus on rebuilding lives, stand! Provides a wide range of voluntary counseling services that help victims and their families break the cycle of domestic and family violence they have experienced. Our therapeutic services include: 1) providing therapy to children and youth in the community and local schools who have been affected by relationship violence; 2) traditional, clinic-based counseling and psychotherapy for children directly affected by family violence as well as via exposure to violence; 3) providing 52-week curriculum-based program for those who have harmed (batterers' intervention program) to support healthy relationship skill development and eradication of domestic and family violence.
Prevention: stand! Is a catalyst for change on an individual as well as policy level. Stand! Collaborates with partners in our community to increase awareness of domestic violence. Programs address all populations but especially involve, educate, empower, and mobilize youth to create youth-driven activities addressing relationship violence and help young people develop the skills and emotional resilience to maintain healthy peer and dating relationships and engage in positive social behaviors. Stand! Promotes individuals to take actions to reduce violence in their relationship and communities and encourages supporters to become advocates for violence free relationships through a wide range of activities. Stand!'s outreach, public services announcements, and effective training and presentation materials are crucial components of our work in shaping the community response to domestic violence.
