Parks and Recreation Foundation of Arkansas is organized to support, protect, enhance and add value to places that provide exceptional recreation experience and build on the legacy of the civilian conservation corps by providing a conduit and opportunity for giving back and expediting development for today's generation.

Arkansas Parks & Recreation Foundation was granted funds to support the evaluation, master planning, and federal permitting process for a mountain bike trail project near Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Mena, Arkansas. The project includes contracting with consultants SE Group to navigate master planning, public comment, and the National Environmental Policy Act. The Foundation is acting as the liaison between Arkansas State Parks, the U.S. Forest Service, City of Mena, and local advocates throughout the process.
