States 4-H International Exchange Programs

Summer Outbound 70 4-H youth from across the U.S. spent four weeks to eight weeks in Japan, Norway, Costa Rica, and Argentina. They were placed with local families which allowed them to immerse themselves in the culture.

Academic Year Program 14 youth from Japan and South Korea spent the academic year in the U.S. They were hosted by 4-H families and attended public high school. These youth were able to experience life as an American teenager while also having the opportunity to share their culture with the community.
