Assist local police officers.

Insurance-the spoa collects dues from the stockton police officers. A portion of these dues are allocated to provide members with life and disability insurance for their benefit.
Legal, consulting & contract negotiations-the spoa provides legal, consulting and negotiation services for the members with regard to police employment issues.
Death benefit & gifts-in the event of a police officer death the stockton police officers association (spoa) gives a cash amount based upon the service period of the officer to spouses or children of the deceased police officer. The spoa also provides small gifts on special days throughout the year to widows of fallen police officers.
Dinners & other recreation-the spoa provides dinners for retiring police officers and provides special facility and events for the current stockton police force. The spoa also provides gym membership for current members.
The spoa allocates funds to the stockton police officers benefit association (an irc section 501(c)(3) organization) which supports local charities and student scholarships. In addition the spoa will donate to other organizations to foster community support.
Memorials-the spoa allocates funds for various local and statewide memorials in memory of past member achievements and sacrifices.
