Gender justice fellowship - the sahr gender justice accelerator is a 12-month legal development and leadership program that equips lawyers and human rights defenders with the skills, networks, and strategic support to transform laws and policies that perpetuate sexual and gender-based violence (sgbv). The program dismantles barriers to participation in policy-making by fostering a community of practice where advocates gain the legal expertise, political fluency, and international connections needed to drive systemic change. More than a support program, the accelerator cultivates leadership and amplifies voices that are too often excluded from legal and policy spaces. Through our model, participants gain hands-on experience and collaborative opportunities to translate knowledge into impact. Core strategies legal mentorship and capacity building: on-the-job guidance for lawyers and human rights defenders working on strategic litigation, law reform, and policy initiatives advancing gender justice. Peer-to-peer linkages: facilitating connections between gender justice advocates across regions to share strategies, solidarity, and expertise. Joint advocacy: coordinated advocacy and reporting before international and regional bodies, including the united nations, to influence global norms and accountability frameworks.
