The organization is a school-based health and safety program led by students and supported by adults with validated programming.

Training and travel programs. The organization travels to schools and communities thoughout the state of michigan to train and assist schools in the developemnt of chapters, as well as subject specific training and skills shared with sls advisors and chapters. The organization brings engaging training programs to individual schools, regional networks and educational institutions. The organization expertise is student-led experiences.
The organization mails year-round publications to the school chapters, board members, supporters and advisors. These brochures, posters and newsletters spread the positive outcomes of our annual conference, summer camp trainings, advisor trainings, chapter trainings and other events sponsored throughout the year by the students. The orgainization also mails results of sls validation studies, current research on adolescent health, drug education, chapter organizational skills, executive functioning skills, suicide prevention, bullying, safe driving and issues related to adolescent development.
