To act as the exclusive bargaining representative regarding all healthcare insurance issues that arise between the county of suffolk and the members of suffolk county's public employees unions. To advance and improve the quality of life for all active and retired employees and their dependents represented by those unions. To promote harmony and cooperation between its members and employers. To negogiate and enter into binding agreements with the employer regarding heath insurance issues to insure its members continue to have access to medical care and to receive the highest level of benefits.
