Suicide Prevention Partnership Peak Region

Ppspp served a total of 9,993 community members across our progams. The related expenses were to support the training of 2,175 community members in suicde prevention, help provide materials for the 83 awareness events where ppspp distributed suicide prevention resource information to the community as well as the 76 school presentations where ppspp engaged outreach and education to local high school and middle school students. The revenue was driven by organizations who directly support these activities. Ppspp brought out loss (local outreach to suicide surviriors) team to 100% operational, providing immediate support to surivivors on the scene of a suicide and then on-going support as the surviviors navigate their loss. Ppspp also created an awareness campaign regarding the safe storage of medications that was distributed to primary care providers, dentist offices and pharmacies.

In the area of intervention, ppspp provided 757 individual therapy sessions, 1,050 peer support contracts and 171 group sessions and 800 discharge care packages were distributed to individuals discharging from a mental health related hospitalization to connect them to resources, provide coping tools and safety tips for their re-entry back into the community. Ppspp also entered into a formal partnership with colorado springs school district 11 to support the re-entry of youth back into the school system after a hopitalization.
